Get to Know Me
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (She/Her) with 16 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges.
I have been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 2009. In that time I have had the pleasure of working with adults and teenagers in various settings, all with their own unique personalities. I have experience using Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety issues, and working with people with trauma. I strongly believe that working together, and with the right support, people can achieve their goals.
If you are dealing with depression, struggling with self-esteem and self-confidence issues, navigating loneliness in the post-COVID world, or experiencing anxiety and are not sure how to manage it — I am here to help. You are the expert on you. Together, we can figure out how to negotiate what is going on in your life and get you to a place where you feel comfortable.
My Approach to Therapy
I view therapy as a partnership. Finding a therapist you connect to is the number one priority, and feeling safe in therapy so that you feel you can open up and share how you are feeling and what is going on with you and in your life is extremely important.
My approach is to create a warm environment, to build trust, but to also challenge you to believe in yourself that you can make the changes that you want to see in yourself and in your world.
What You Can Expect
Clients can expect to build a strong, trusting relationship — and with that comes sharing information that can be difficult at times, and laughter at others.
Clients can expect homework outside of therapy. It is my belief that homework helps in the process of creating change, since so much time is spent outside of therapy that outside of therapy is where what we have worked on in therapy will be reinforced.
